about
Marissa was born May the 4th on a beautiful morning in Miami Beach. The irony that she would eventually marry a partner who was Star Wars obsessed does not escape her. She sang her first word, so it was no surprise that she grew to become a performing artist. It is believed that the acting bug bit her during her Hebrew School kindergarten Hannukah musical, where she played a singing and dancing latke. Shortly after, that little potato pancake started cultivating the skills and passion to become a deeply emotive, uniquely communicative and storytelling driven artist.

Marissa excelled as an athlete in her adolescence, most notably as a competitive softball player. She would eventually hang up her cleats for a pair of jazz sneakers as she dove in head first to what would be a life long journey in the arts. After graduating high school from Interlochen Arts Academy as a theatre major, she decided to forgo college, and at 18 moved to New York City where she received a certificate of completion from the two year conservatory, Circle in the Square.
Since then, she has been seen all around the New York theatre scene. She’s worked regionally, toured nationally, has graced the screen in independent film, television and new media, and has also lent her voice to video game animation. She hustles as an audiobook narrator, specializing in character voices and a keen ability to draw in the listener, both as a solo narrator and as one half of a duet team with her incredible narration partner Alex Perone (Check him out at www.AlexPerone.com!)
In her spare time Marissa enjoys sharing a meal with friends, cooking, puzzles of all sorts, attending the theatre, spending time with her three adorable felines and being super aunt to her incredible nephew and nieces.
